Il devient d&rsquo;ailleurs l&rsquo;un des animateurs vedette de CKVL, c\u00e9l\u00e8bre station de radio de Montr\u00e9al. Il amorce sa carri\u00e8re t\u00e9l\u00e9visuelle en co-animant avec Claude Boulard, plusieurs quiz et \u00e9missions de vari\u00e9t\u00e9s. Mais l&rsquo;\u00e9mission qui allait le mettre en t\u00eate d&rsquo;affiche sera <em>Les Tannants<\/em>, \u00e0 T\u00e9l\u00e9-M\u00e9tropole, qu&rsquo;il co-animera avec entre autres Roger Gigu\u00e8re, Gilles Latulippe, Paolo No\u00ebl, Shirley Th\u00e9roux, Christine Chartrand, Anne Ren\u00e9e et Jo\u00ebl Denis. Cette \u00e9mission humoristique phare (de style burlesque) des ann\u00e9es 1970 aura un immense impact sur la c\u00e9l\u00e9brit\u00e9 de Pierre Marcotte. Pierre Marcotte continuera d&rsquo;\u00eatre pr\u00e9sent dans le paysage t\u00e9l\u00e9visuel qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois dans les ann\u00e9es 1990 et 2000 en animant plusieurs \u00e9missions pour diff\u00e9rents r\u00e9seaux. Chou-chou du public, il a remport\u00e9 de nombreux prix dont un <em>Troph\u00e9e Artis<\/em>, un <em>Troph\u00e9e M\u00e9ritas<\/em> et un <em>Prix M\u00e9trostar<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Homme d&rsquo;affaires reconnu, il sera le propri\u00e9taire de nombreux \u00e9tablissements dont La Boucherie, dans le Vieux-Montr\u00e9al.
